This book is a collection of six stories. Maine Khwabon Ka Shajar Dekha Hai is a story based on three characters: Shumaila, who is in love with Umar, while Umar loves his university fellow, Sana. Umar is the son of Shumaila’s aunt, who also wanted to make Shumaila her daughter-in-law.
When Umar tells them about Sana, Shumaila’s aunt opposes Umar’s decision, but Umar marries Sana anyway. Afterward, Shumaila and her aunt poison Umar’s mind, and he divorces Sana and marries Shumaila. However, he never loves Shumaila.
After a long time, Shumaila discovers that Umar has remarried Sana after her divorce from another person. Umar wants to leave Shumaila, but Sana convinces him not to, even though Umar knows that Shumaila and her mother had orchestrated the entire plan.
This story revolves around the idea that in love and war, people believe anything is justified, so they forget their morals and do whatever they want, without considering how their actions will affect others. This novel was first published in Shuaa Urdu Digest and later released as part of a book containing six stories: Koi Lamha Khuwab Nahi Hota, Shehr e Zaat, Muthi Bhar Mitti, Koi Baat Hai Teri Baat Main, and Teri Yaad Khaar-e-Gulaab Hai.
