Meri Tanhai Meri Jaan Pe Bani Hai Saiyan is a love story about Roshaney and Irtaza, who are cousins. After Roshaney’s mother dies, her father moves abroad, and she starts living with her maternal grandparents. Irtaza, her cousin, falls in love with her, and at the age of 18, their parents arrange their marriage. They both start university, where Roshaney joins the drama society and becomes close to her classmate Kinza, who is also her cousin, and Rukhsana, the wife of Irtaza’s father.
Kinza, who wants to marry Irtaza, teams up with Rukhsana to create a plan. They secretly take close pictures of Roshaney with her drama teacher and send them to Irtaza, claiming they are in a relationship. Rukhsana also speaks badly of Roshaney, and Irtaza, hurt and angry, believes them. He asks Roshaney to leave, and she goes to live with her father abroad. The story follows their separation and eventual reunion.
