Junoon e Ishqam tells the intense story of two rival feudal families living in the same village in different houses named, Shah Havaili and Bari Havaili. These families have been enemies for years. The story begins when Sadaf Shah is divorced by her husband, who suspects her of being involved with another man.
After the divorce, Sadaf marries Wasif Shah. She already has two children, Saneha and Rohan, and Wasif, accepting them as his own, decides not to have any children of his own. In university Rohan falls for a girl named Dani, who pretends to love him but is only interested in his money. Rohan tries hard to impress her, unaware that she isn’t sincere.
Then comes Alam Sultan, Rohan’s cousin from Bari Havaili. Alam wants to bring Rohan and Saneha back to his side of the family. However, Zayar Shah from Shah Havaili doesn’t trust his intentions. Zayar believes that Alam’s true motive isn’t to reunite with Rohan and Saneha but to seek revenge on the Shah family.
The story has many characters, each facing different challenges. At its heart, the novel deals with how pride, revenge, and family rivalries can affect people’s lives. It also shows what happens when a man refuses to believe in a woman’s innocence, thinking that others will laugh at him if he stands by her.
Meanwhile, another man, out of a sense of justice, marries her because he believes in her purity, even though he faces consequences for his decision. This story explores how arrogance, loyalty, and doing what feels right can shape lives and relationships.
