Guman is the story of Ume Hani and Farhad. Ume Hani comes to Islamabad from Karachi to visit his aunt. In the house opposite theirs lives Farhad, who has spent most of his life abroad and appears to be a foreigner. Ume Hani overhears Farhad’s phone conversation when they visit his house to deliver leftover food after a neighborhood function. During the call, she hears him mention the word “blast” and begins to suspect that he is a foreign agent planning a terrorist attack in Pakistan.
She shares her suspicions with her cousin Nageen, and together, they decide to follow him to gather proof and report him to the authorities. However, Farhad is actually the son of their uncle Hassan, who moved to England at a young age. Farhad had returned to Pakistan to surprise his family, and the “blast” he mentioned was part of a surprise he was planning for them.
The story is filled with humor as Farhad discovers that Ume Hani and Nageen are investigating him. Eventually, the story takes a romantic turn, evolving into a love story between Ume Hani and Farhad.
